Minimalist or Maximalist?

I've recently come to the realization that I love too many pretty things to ever become a true minimalist. I love the clean, sleek, uncluttered minimalist look, but it's just not realistic for someone who loves all things shiny and new.

Exhibit A: Meet Myrtle

I innocently popped in to Bill's House of Flowers on Broadway this weekend and walked out with three hyacinth stems and a Myrtle topiary. These beauties have been springing up all over the place lately - I've spotted them at Blossoms on 8th Street, and in my home decor mags.

Our cluttered counter top

I also have a penchant for schlepping home pretty succulents, candles, cookbooks and Nova Scotian sea glass. It's getting a bit out of hand.

Do you have a similar problem? Are you a minimalist, maximalist, or do you fall somewhere in between?

I'm sorry, this is probably weird...but I've been in a google-search coma looking for Michael Buble's bedding...

I'm an interior design student, and I'm trying to put together a materials board and came across one of your your posts. I was wondering if you could tell me where your very similar bedding is from? it would be so, so helpful. Buble's source is apparently top secret :(

My email is byrnes.eb@gmail.com, if you could drop me a line I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!:)
