Bambi sighting

It's very possible that the best picture I'll take this week in my photography class is the one I took on my way to the camp on the first day.

Josh and I drove there on Sunday so that I'd know how to navigate my way by car at 4 am the next day.  I'd be biking there mostly and I knew the bike path, but didn't know how to get there via the highway. There was no way I'd be biking alone in the woods at 4 am...just thinking about it conjured up images of everything from brown bear attacks to the Blair Witch Project.

On our way up the road we ran into two wee little fawns and a doe. The doe and one of the fawns quickly ran into the bushes when we got close, but this little guy wanted to get a good look at us.  If it were a case of survival of the fittest, this one would be a goner...luckily for him he's living in a provincial park.

I took this picture through the windshield of our truck, and cleaned it up in Photoshop.  All those dead bugs didn't stand a chance.

More to come...
