I'm not going to sit here and tell you about how gloriously green I am because I've refurbished a few pieces of old furniture instead of buying new. I just think they're pretty and want to show off the result of hours of sanding, spray painting and upholstering. As much as I like to do my part for the environment, most of our reno purchases have been brand new - not used or recycled. We looked into low flow toilets but were told that they weren't a good match with the plumbing in older condo buildings (ours is over 30 years old). A reno eco warrior I am not.
The fabric is by Amy Butler and we used a simple white spray paint on the wood after all the tedious sanding. I'm really happy with the result and think the white paint and polka dots really freshen up the look. I left the leopard print fabric underneath if I ever feel the need for something more exotic in the future. :)
