It's always sad to see a long weekend come to an end. Mine is almost officially over seeing as it's Sunday night and I don't work for the government. We had a very productive three days as Josh's parents, Bev and Joe, were visiting and they don't mind getting their hands dirty.
While Josh and Joe washed our windows, put together some shelving and cleaned up our balcony, Bev and I got to work on some Roman shades for the spare bedroom. It took a good chunk of the day on Friday and most of Saturday morning to finish as it's quite a big window. There's a lot of measuring, cutting, pinning, sewing (by hand and machine), followed by stringing it all together and installing. Unless they visit again soon, I'm tempted to pay someone to do the next one for the master bedroom. For our first time, I think they turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. When it was finished, we rewarded ourselves with a much deserved trip to Pure Gelato.

You have to give Josh something to do - otherwise he stands back and heckles you :)
